GABBY Agbonlahor is planning on gate-crashing England’s Euro 2012 party despite ruling himself out of the crunch Montenegro qualifier.
Agbonlahor continued his fine club form with a goal, assist and man of the match performance in Saturday’s win over Wigan. But he has asked to be excused Three Lions duty to see a specialist about a back problem.
“I was in contention but I’ve had a setback in the last couple of weeks,” he revealed.
“I’ve had a back problem and I’ve got to go and see specialist in London tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll get it fixed during the international break.
“It’s been stopping me in games. I’ve been suffering with pains in my lower back. The doc said there’s someone in London who can sort it out so I’m going to give it a try.
I got a text (from England) saying I’d be in contention but I want to get myself right.”
