STILIYAN Petrov has revealed that Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish stays “calm and confident” under pressure.

Petrov admitted Saturday’s win at Bolton was vital after one point and no goals from the previous three games.

But the skipper insists McLeish’s composed demeanour remained the same even when the claret and blues were struggling for form.

“I think every manager in the Premier League is under pressure,” said Petrov, who scored in the win at the Reebok Stadium.

“There is a not a manager who is not under some kind of pressure. It is part of the job and the boss knows that.

“He has been really calm and confident with the boys and telling us: ‘I believe in you’ and we showed that at Bolton.
