ASTON Villa wag Chantelle Tagoe has hit out on Twitter after a shopworker abused her mother over a bag of potatoes.

The 27-year-old fiancée of striker Emile Heskey tweeted yesterday afternoon about how the worker branded her mum a “dirty scouser” because “she wouldn’t pay £8 for a bag of potatoes,” adding “Lost our custom now mate”.

She wrote: “No wonder the local shop is going out of business. Prices are disgusting. She got three for two in Tesco for about £1.50. I’m so angry right now.”

Miss Tagoe claimed her mother had bought the spuds and then took them back after deciding they had been overpriced, only to then be abused by the shopworker.

“[She] said sorry to be a pain, but that’s a bit dear and he kicked off,” Miss Tagoe, who has young sons Jaden and Reigan with Heskey, tweeted.

She added: “How bads that! We go in there all the time and they’ve always been dead nice. Going to go in and tell his parents how he’s treated his customers.

“My poor mum... But she was calm and didn’t scream like she usually does - showed him she was the bigger person.

“Me mum had me on the phone and went back in the shop. He was still shouting at her. His face dropped when she said she was my mum.

“I want to name and shame them, but the dad really takes pride in his business. He’s a lovely man.”
