Birmingham City in for Bobo Balde
Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish may finally get to land Bobo Balde this summer.
The Celtic outcast has agreed to link up with Blues when they report back for pre-season training on July 8 with a view to a free transfer.
The 33-year-old has been kicking his heels for 18 months in Glasgow after suffering injury and then becoming embroiled in a bitter dispute.
McLeish tried to get Balde during the January 2008 transfer window and then again last summer.
Celtic wanted Balde out of the door because of the drain of a £30,000-a-week wage, but he stayed put after apparently refusing to sign a confidentiality clause as part of a severage agreement.
Wolves were also in the running then for Balde and new Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane, who was after Balde for Sunderland, has been weighing up a move.
