Queudrue takes blame for Blues defeat

FRANCK Queudrue held his hands up and admitted his error cost Blues.

Ronaldo nabbed Rio Ferdinand's long ball off his toes to go on and net in the 56th minute.

"I know it is my mistake," said the left-back. "But the thing is, I went towards the ball but it stuck in the ground. It just stopped.

"So instead of bouncing on, it stayed still and when I put my leg out, it went to him."

Queudrue said he was devasted for the team that they didn't get at least a draw.

"They started brighter than us, but when we got amongst them, we got going and created some chances.

"They stopped some things on the goal line and when you don't score, you can get exposed.

"We put so much effort into the game, I feel very much like s***, I would say, for the guys to get nothing out of it."

"We could have tried all day, but it wouldn't have changed anything," Queudrue lamented about Blues inability to score.

"We created some good pieces of play, especially in the first-half, but we didn't get reward.

"That's always the case against the big team. Sooner or later you get punished, and that's what happened. They defended well, you know, Man U."
