Compassionate leave for Palacios

WILSON Palacios has been granted compassionate leave by Blues and will not be available tomorrow.

It had been announced last week that Palacios's 15-year-old brother Edwin Rene had been released by his kidnappers, but it transpired this was not so.

Palacios was in Miami, USA, for a Honduras-Guatemala friendly when it was thought his sibling had been freed.

Eric Black explained: "Unfortunately that situation hasn't been resolved and we've given him a bit of leave to be with his family in Honduras to try and sort it out.

"He's gone on home from Miami and he will report back Monday or Tuesday. What's happened there puts everything into perspective."
