Olivier Kapo suspended for Blues at West Ham

Olivier Kapo full

OLIVIER Kapo will be suspended for Blues' game at West Ham United on February 9.

The midfielder picked up his fifth booking of the season at Sunderland last night.

Kapo was shown the yellow card for arguing with referee Mark Halsey in defence of striker Mauro Zarate, who felt aggrieved by a series of decisions that didn't go his way.

Centre-half Liam Ridgewell is again walking a disciplinary tightrope after collecting his ninth booking of the campaign at the Stadium of Light.

If he offends again before the second Sunday in April, he will be hit with a two-game ban.
