Birmingham City board study options for new directors

BLUES managing director Karren Brady admitted the board have considered nominating new directors of their own to spike Carson Yeung's guns.

She told the EGM that according to Blues' articles of association, the plc board can only be made up of eight people.

At present it reads David Sullivan (plc chairman), David Gold (football club chairman), Ralph Gold (non-executive director), Roger Bannister (finance director), Michael Wiseman (independent non-executive director) and herself.

That leaves two spots, which Yeung tried to fill.

"We only put people on the board who we feel would make a significant contribution, and that's right and proper," she said,

"The board has discussed proposing that themselves."
