Cameron Jerome adds to Birmingham City injury problems

CAMERON Jerome has added to Birmingham City injury woes.

A hip complaint has hampered Jerome, said manager Alex McLeish.

"He actually pulled up in the warm-up last Saturday and then when he warmed up again during the game it became clear he wasn't going to be available for me.

"He's been on the treatment table most of the week and we will do a fitness test on him.

"He had a little bit of niggle in his hip and we sent him for scan on Monday and there was a bit of fluid in there."

McLeish, who last week had a fully fit squad to choose from, has gone to the other extreme.

He said: "It happens like that but then sometimes it kind of falls into place.

"You're not tossing coins up about who will be sub and who will be starting. It kind of makes your mind up for you."
