Radhi Jaidi ready to take Martin Taylor's place for Birmingham City

RADHI Jaidi appears in pole position to replace the suspended Martin Taylor tomorrow.

And his stint with Tunisia in Ghana has done him a favour.

"I think the Africa Cup of Nation games were good for him to hone his sharpness," said Alex McLeish.

"He was maybe a little bit off the pace when he came into our team [in December} because he had been suffering injuries and hadn't trained and pre-season he had to work to get some excess weight off.

"It is always a hard catchup that, but now I think he is at a pretty good level."

Gary McSheffrey is in line to take the injured Olivier Kapo's spot on the left wing.
