Franck Queudrue confident Birmingham City will cope with defensive changes

FRANCK Queudrue has backed Blues to cope with another defensive reshuffle at Wigan Athletic.

Queudrue came in from the cold to play centre-half for Manchester City's visit but was sent-off.

Both he and Liam Ridgewell are suspended for Saturday's game, so manager Alex McLeish must pick another new pairing at the back.

"There are people like Tiny (Martin Taylor) and Rafael Schmitz who could do a good job if they have to step in," said Queudrue.

"The manager has to make his change. Last Saturday it was me, it could have been Tiny or Rafael, who are good players and can do the job."

Stephen Kelly alongside Radhi Jaidi and Stuart Parnaby coming in at right-back is another option that McLeish could consider.

Wigan will be boosted by the return of Jason Koumas, Michael Brown and Wilson Palacios from suspension.
