Furious Karren Brady 'took no bungs'

FURIOUS Karren Brady was today said to be insistent that the police inquiry had "nothing whatsoever" to do with any suggestion that she or David Sullivan received "bungs".

Although the Blues' boss has refused to speak to the press, a source close to her and the club today told the Birmingham Mail that both she and Sullivan were "enraged" at any suggestion that they were involved in any crime.

Managing director Brady, 39, and 59-year-old co-owner Sullivan were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and false accounting yesterday.

But the source said that the police's only interest was in whether she and Sullivan were aware of any alleged illicit dealings, which both are understood to completely deny.
