Franck Queudrue and Olivier Kapo miss pre-season training at Birmingham City

Franck Queudrue

FRANCK Queudrue and Olivier Kapo failed to show for pre-season training at Blues today.

Queudrue has claimed that he thought Blues reported back at Wast Hills next Monday, July 7.

Kapo's return from his native France has been delayed for 24 hours because of a wrist problem, the club were told by his representatives.

Manager Alex McLeish cannot be expected to extend any sympathy to either pair as he expected both back on the training fields this morning.

Queudrue had a well publicised bust-up with co-owner David Sullivan in the wake of Blues relegation, when he was singled out from the supposed 'pile of rubbish' former boss Steve Bruce bought last summer.

It is unclear when Queudrue will turn up, but he can be expect to be 'welcomed' by at least a fine.

All players are informed of the return date for  training by telephone and  letter to their homes in the days following the end of the season.
