Terry Westley strengthens Birmingham City youth set-up

BLUES Academy has undergone a series of staff reshuffles.

While boss Alex McLeish has been busy bringing in new recruits to his backroom team during the past few weeks, so has Terry Westley.

Kevan Broadhurst has been appointed by the Academy supremo to coach the under-15s and under-16s.

Paul Reynolds has arrived as goalkeeper coach, while Will Royall, who has joined the legion of ex-Blues at Wigan Athletic, has been replaced as fitness coach by Andy Kilinins, from Coventry City.

Former Walsall player Dave Hunt has taken over from Ian Rodgerson, now at Forest Green Rovers, as Academy head physiotherapist, with Dave Smith as his assistant.

Former captain, assistant manager and coach Broadhurst has been working for the club’s community department as part of their set-up with South Birmingham College and Westley said that he wanted to strengthen the ties there.
