Birmingham City warned to be wary of Swansea City

ARTUR Krysiak, Blues’ man on the inside, has warned them to be wary of Swansea City tomorrow night.

Blues travel to the Championship new-boys, who have made a good impression since they won League One.

And not least on Poland under-19 goalkeeper Krysiak, who is on loan to the Swans for three months, although he won’t be allowed to figure in the game under Football League rules.

“Swansea are a very good side, you have to respect them,” said Krysiak, who made two appearances for the Welsh side due to regular number one Dorus de Vries’s fractured cheekbone.

“Before I joined them, I thought they were perhaps a little bit young to be able to play against the difficult teams like Birmingham and Wolves. After Cardiff City (the Carling Cup victory, Krysiak’s first involvement as an unused substitute) I changed my mind.

“They’ve impressed me and done very well the last few weeks. I think in the next few years, they could easily be challenging to get into the Premier League, and might get there.

“They attack with speed and are very technical, they have players from Spain as you would expect being managed by Roberto Matinez, and I expect Birmingham will be given a tough game.

“It’s a game where Birmingham must get the result, but it will be hard. Swansea will be looking forward to it and as for who will win, what can I say? My friends are in the Swansea team, my friends are in the Birmingham team!”.

Coventry City’s Dimitrios Konstantopoulos was drafted in on loan shortly after Krysiak because of de Vries’s injury.
