Birmingham City warned to be wary of Swansea City
the 3-0 win over Southampton, it was off to face Wolves at Molineux, before the more experienced Greek took his spot.
“As a 19-year-old, I was very happy to play in the league for the first time, no many goalkeepers get the opportunity at that age,” said the recruit from the Lodz Academy, who was being trailed by Liverpool at the time Blues decided to snap him up after the first session of his Wast Hills trial.
“I had nothing to do, though, but it wasn’t as easy at Wolves.
“That was more difficult, they have a very strong team, very balanced, and that game showed me exactly how good you have to be and how high the level is in this country at big clubs.”
And the 2-1 defeat – the first time Krysiak had played in snow incidentally – told him something else: “I need more games, more experience because maybe I am not quite yet ready to play for Birmingham or a Premier League team.
“You always want to better yourself and improve your skills and I still have a lot to learn.”
Krysiak has had loan spells at Gretna and York City. The former was blighted by a cash crisis, the latter ended after two games when Krysiak dislocated his finger.
“When Swansea came in, it was perfect,” said Blues No.3 behind Colin Doyle and first pick Maik Taylor.
