Birmingham City offer free admission for Wolverhampton Wanderers clash

Birmingham City have taken the unprecedented step of offering free admission to all season ticket holders for the FA Cup third-round tie against Wolves at St Andrew’s in January.
It launches their ‘New Year . . . New Start’ campaign in 2009, aimed at rewarding fans’ loyalty and wooing back the missing thousands.
The board will unveil a ‘10-point pledge’ in January, which includes free entry to under-8s accompanied by an adult in the family stand for 2009-10, guaranteeing a big screen for the same campaign and interest free direct debit for season ticket payments, regardless of division.
Season ticket holders will also be given a £10 voucher to be used in the club shop in 2009 and a free ticket for one of the following home games for a friend or family member – Cardiff City (January 17), Derby County (January 27) or Nottingham Forest (February 14).
And this Saturday’s visit of Watford to St Andrew’s has been designated ‘kids-for-a-quid’.
In a statement, released by the club’s head of marketing and communications Alexa Stockham, Blues thanked fans for their support so far this season and said “we look forward to working together to make this a better club in 2009”.
