Birmingham City face loan headache over Nicky Hunt
NICKY Hunt has been declared fit for Blues’ match at home to Watford.
The right-back came off at Wolves because of a hamstring problem, but no tear was discovered.
With Stuart Parnaby now available, manager Alex McLeish has a dilemma.
Hunt was drafted in from Bolton Wanderers to cover for injury to Parnaby (hamstring) and Stephen Kelly (thigh).
And the last game of Hunt’s loan is the visit of the Hornets, but McLeish, bearing in mind the heavy festive schedule, would like Hunt to extend his stay.
“Nicky felt it a bit towards the end of the first-half at Wolves, and his fear was that if he had carried on the hamstring would have torn,” said McLeish.
“I felt he was looking good until then, as were the team, and having to put Mehdi Nafti there probably cost us a wee bit.
