Nigel Quashie: Birmingham City are set to be 'The Untouchables'

NIGEL Quashie today sounded out a defiant message, insisting that Blues could become ‘The Untouchables’.
The midfielder expressed his firm belief that promotion was likely, so long as Blues didn’t muck up themselves.
Blues face Watford tomorrow at St Andrew’s still in pursuit of Championship leaders Wolves, who hold a six-point advantage, and looking to hold off the challenge of third-placed Reading.
Quashie said: “We are in control of our performances at the moment. We are playing well.
“You can be unfortunate sometimes, you might not get that bit of luck, but that’s just the way it goes.
“The main thing, though, is that it’s in our hands and we are getting it together.
“For us to close the gap or to go on a run of games, it all boils down to what we do.
“I wouldn’t say there’s any team who can really cause us problems, it’s whether we cause problems for ourselves.
“The manager and the staff can say so much to us as a group of players, but we have got more than enough about ourselves to realise that we’re in a prime position here to either go on and win this league, or get promotion.
“Like the boys said in the changing room after the Wolves game, it’s all about us. If we are at it, then there’s no-one in this division who can touch us.
“I don’t think it’s down to any team beating us, it’s up to us to go and perform.
“There’s nothing to fear, other than ourselves if we don’t play to our ability and with the right attitude.
“Other than that, I think we’re more than capable of doing it, winning promotion, this season.”
