Birmingham City: Franck Queudrue reveals cancellation frustration

FRANCK Queudrue has admitted that last weekend’s unscheduled break came as a major frustration for Blues.

Rather than put his feet up and enjoy a rare weekend away from the football field following the postponed FA Cup third-round tie with Wolves, Queudrue took the opposite view.

The French left-back and his team-mates were fit, fired-up and raring to go for the tussle with their West Midland neighbours

That is despite the fact that the fixture would have come off the back of a hectic festive schedule for a injury and illness-hit Blues squad.

Queudrue does admit that the blank weekend helped clear up a few injury niggles but the 30-year-old defender believes that in the long run it will just heap pressure on Blues.

“We were a bit disappointed with the break last weekend because it wasn’t expected and the staff hadn’t made any plans for it,” said Queudrue.

“It’s going to be hard to cope now because we have a lots of games coming up and that will just get harder if we get through to the next round of the cup.
