Birmingham City: Franck Queudrue reveals cancellation frustration

“It’s good in one way because we had a few players who were injured and the break has given them a chance to recover. But not being able to play was frustrating because you want games to keep coming so you can build momentum.”
While his squad have been preparing for today’s return to Championship action at Blackpool with training sessions at Moseley Rugby Club’s Billesley Common base, McLeish has been busy wheeling and dealing in the January transfer window; not that you would find Queudrue getting caught up in McLeish’s latest bit of business, as the Parisian insists that he’s already got plenty more to focus on.
“In the transfer window, you have to be quick but I’m not interested in what the manager is doing with transfers. He knows what he wants to do, he sees the future and he will have plans in place,” he said.
“It’s up to us players to concentrate on the pitch because the only thing we can do is keep on trying to win games and get promoted.
“The manager is bringing in players and rightfully so, because we’ve got a lot of games coming up soon and we need to have a tough squad.”
