DAVID Sullivan has asked disgruntled Blues fans to appreciate what the club did do before the transfer window shut.
The inability to sign a defender – as of yet – and Stephen Kelly’s exit to Stoke City has sparked much discontent but Sullivan pointed to the recruits who had come on board before Monday’s deadline.
Keith Fahey and Robin Shroot were permanent additions to the squad, while Lee Bowyer, Scott Sinclair and Hameur Bouazza were loaned to the season’s end. Carlos Costly was also added to the mix in another loan deal until May.
“We’ve brought in six players and added speed down the wings, energy and enthusiasm,” said the Blues supremo.
“Overall, these players have improved the squad and they have addressed a need the manager felt needed addressing.
“Obviously, we were disappointed that we didn’t get a defender but there are still options available on loan and we should be bringing people in, hopefully next week.”
