Hameur Bouazza fires in a shot.
BLUES winger Hameur Bouazza has recalled the days he used to share a house with his good pal and current Villa sensation Ashley Young.
While Algeria international Bouazza is hoping to work his way back to the top flight with Blues, England star Young has been one of the Premier League’s hottest names so far this season.
But the wing duo’s football careers both started with their humble beginnings as youngsters at Watford.
Bouazza and Young both came through the ranks together at the Hornets and shared digs.
And although they haven’t had the chance to catch up with each other since Bouazza has been in the Second City, the Blues loanee says Young is still a good mate.
“I played with Ashley at the academy at Watford and he’s still a good friend of mine,” said Bouazza, 23. “I was with him in digs with a family down in Watford. His family were also so nice with me when they used to come along to games on a Saturday, his parents used to talk to me and help me as well.
