Birmingham City: Scott Sinclair to return if Birmingham promoted?

SCOTT Sinclair has revealed he would consider returning to Blues next season if they were promoted to the Premier League.
The winger said his main aim after his St Andrew’s loan ends in May was to force his way into the reckoning at parent club Chelsea.
But if their new boss, whether it be interim appointment Guus Hiddink on a permanent basis or another manager, kept the 19-year-old on the fringes, he would seek another loan.
And Blues would be a first port of call.
“It was good last season that I had five, 10 minutes here and there for Chelsea,” Sinclair told the Birmingham Mail.
“But I think I’ve passed that stage now. I need to be playing every week.
“I wasn’t happy just sitting on the bench and not really playing regularly.
“I spoke to Ray Wilkins, Frank Arnesen and the manager before he left and they felt it was best for me to go back out on loan.
“When you do that, when you are playing games, you get your confidence up and hopefully build towards next season and breaking into the team. That’s what I’m looking to do.
“It would be wicked to have a good season with Birmingham, get promotion and even score a few goals.
“After the season, then I will hopefully get into the Chelsea team or come back here.”
So Blues would be a serious option?
“Definitely,” Sinclair reaffirmed. “If the manager thinks that I’m only going to get five or 10 minutes again, then we’ll see where I am after a couple of months.
‘‘It would be better to be playing week in, week out in the Premier League for Birmingham.”
First things first, however, Blues have to secure their passage from the Championship.
