Palace penalty claims unfounded - Fahey

CRYSTAL Palace’s penalty gripe was unfounded, Keith Fahey insisted.
Fahey was at the heart of the controversy when he and Neil Danns tussled for a ball on the right side of the box.
It looked like Danns would go over, but he kept his footing and tried to go past Maik Taylor.
“It was never a pen,” said Fahey. “I was just blocking his run and he was pulling at me.
“I was waiting on Maik to come out and get it, but no way was it a penalty.”
Fahey and Lee Bowyer dovetailed nicely in the centre of midfield as Lee Carsley sat it out.
Fahey commented: “Cars has been struggling with a neck injury.
“But I didn’t have the best game of my career, I can tell you that.
“But it was another 90 minutes under my belt, which was good.”
