Birmingham City: Alex McLeish orders his side to start winning

ALEX McLeish has ordered Blues to get their late season firing.
Bristol City (on Wednesday) and then Southampton (Saturday) visit St Andrew’s in the next six days.
The Blues boss said that back-to-back wins were imperative.
Blues passed up yet another chance to haul in Championship leaders Wolves yesterday.
The 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United, although laced in controversy, hit them hard.
Yet in keeping with the incredible scrap for promotion in the Championship – and their recent woes – it was hardly surprising.
Blues have won three of the last 11 league games. Wolves and Reading have even more anxieties.
“There’s two home games coming up and we’ve simply got to look after them – six points,” said McLeish.
“It’s up to us to win them to win them in front of our crowd at St Andrew’s.”
Defeat at Bramall Lane was shattering, but not decisive, insisted McLeish.
“It’s not the end of the world, of course it’s not,’’ he said.
“But we can’t keep saying that after every game that slips by and every opportunity we get.
“We need to get more out of some of the individuals in the team.”
Over the weekend, only two of the top 11 sides – of which the Blades were one – triumphed.
