Birmingham City must beat likes of Barnsley - McLeish

BLUES have taken care of business on their home St Andrew’s patch – now they must do it on the road.
Tonight they travel to Oakwell to face Barnsley (7.45pm) before heading to Yorkshire again for Saturday’s evening clash at Doncaster Rovers.
Close Championship rivals Wolves and Reading, in contrast, both have home fixtures this week, so Blues must ensure that they don’t slip up.
Last week Blues won back-to-back matches at St Andrew’s; Wolves recorded 1-0 successes at Crystal Palace and Sheffield Wednesday. So the boot is on the other foot.
“There is a good spirit in the dressing room and we have got to carry on this momentum of the two terrific home victories,” said manager Alex McLeish, right.
“We’ve now got to go on our travels and get the points, play to the same level, the same standard, commitment and passion as we did the past week.
“Those victories reinforced the players’ confidence and it let them know that if we want it enough they can do it.”
McLeish, who is likely to have Garry O’Connor on the bench to make up for the loss of Marcus Bent to injury, continued: “We know that there’s no margin for error now.
