Ashley Sammons confident for FA Youth Cup tie

TERRY Westley’s side will not be out-worked by Watford in Monday’s quarter-final.

Ashley Sammons, who will be at the heart of the Blues engine room at St Andrew’s in the FA Youth Cup tie, said their industry was a strong point.

“As a team, we’re quite direct,” he said. “We’re quite physical and we’ve got good movement and can finish.

“If we can get on top of Watford, and that means working hard, we have a good chance of getting through. I think that’s the main things with us, we can play but we are a very hard-working team all the way through.” Blues beat Watford a fortnight ago and Sammons added: “Our confidence is high.

“We’ve had a good run in the FA Youth Cup and we are really focused on making sure it continues, going as far as we can. It will be down to our mentality.”
