Birmingham City hot-shot praised by boss
Luke Hubbins, Blues FA Youth Cup match winner, was praised by Terry Westley for his nose for goal.
The 17-year-old from Weoley Castle, a first year scholar, could have a bright future if he continues to progress, said the Academy supremo.
“He’s a very good finisher. You don’t come across too many wingers in the game now who can get a few goals for you.
“He’s our leading goalscorer now this season.
“He’s fearless as well. I was speaking to the staff and we were saying that he’s a winger who doesn’t mind getting whacked a bit because he will go in for balls because he thinks he can win them, he thinks he can nick it round people. It was a little bit like that for his goal.
“When he gets in like that he’s a good finisher. He’s dangerous. If he could improve his crossing and his end product, then he could have a bright future.”
