Birmingham City fans speak out on Stephen Carr signing
Birmingham City fans have been emailing us their thoughts on Stephen Carr having his run at Blues extended.
Alex McLeish is delighted to have the 32-year-old former Republic Of Ireland international on board:
"“Stephen’s experience is terrific, but not only that, his quality on the ball has been a big plus for us,” said McLeish.
“His use of the ball, from full-back, is so important and Stephen’s all-round game has been excellent."

kangoopete1951: This guy given his age....injury problems....retirement........even now he is a class player a definite Eck success......he deserves an extension let's hope the club are paying a decent wage.
BubbaBlue: After initially deriding the signing, I'm happy to say I've never been more wrong about a player. His performances have both improved the defence and I think Larsson's game whose return to form has coincided with Carr's inclusion. Still have reservations about his competetiveness at the top level should we get there but if he maintains his form till the seasons end he deserves a crack at it.
Bluenose_68: A definate success story......he reminds me of Jeff Kenna and we got a few good years out of him despite him being older...
Quark: Hands up, i was rabid at the signing,another old player, out of retirement, laughing stock, typical Blues, Blah Blah Blah, etc etc. Aren't i a silly boy!? To be honest probably the pick of our defenders.
