Birmingham City for the title? The fans have their say!
About 8 games ago you would have been forgiven for thinking Alex McLeish was public enemy number one, now Blues are on the verge of promotion, McLeish has his eyes on the title and all is well in Bluenose land.
Or is it... here are the recent thoughts we have received from Blues fans...
BearwoodTed:I am beginning to realise this guy is in fact on the verge of creating history!
He could end up achieving promotion with a bunch of players owned by other clubs with a couple added on who have come out of retirement!
So far this season he has had on loan : Quincy, Quashie, Augustine, Hunt, Costly, Bowyer, Sinclair, Bouazza, I've probabley missed a few out!
He has brought in Carr and De la cruz out of retirement,and got the best out of Parnaby, Quadrue and O'Conner.
He's not perfect, He signed Marcus Bent, who is a perfect example of a playboy footballer who if only he played with as much passion for us as he applies when chasing a piece of skirt would be a hero!
MacFadden, another signing who needs to stop poncing and give us a bit of graft is another signing with a lot to prove.
Macleish may have emptied the ground with his brand of football, BUT, this guy has been working with both hands tied behind his back and with 7 games to go has done the business with everybody elses players! Respect Alex, your not so bad after all.
LittleBlue: I think that a great win at Donny and Reading slipping up , giving us a 7 point lead over third place, has put people at ease a bit.
I'll be honest, I came on the board in February to say I'd lost my patience with the man, only for him and the team to turn things around. This wolves game coming up is massive, so a real test to see if we deserve to be where we are. Credit to the lads and McLeish, they've kept plugging away, and with clean sheets which is vital at any level. or bedroom.
