Garry O'Connor says home wins will seal promotion

GARRY O’Connor has told Blues to take care of business on the home front – and then start preparing for promotion.
The first of four remaining St Andrew’s games takes place tomorrow when Norwich City visit.
And O’Connor said that should Blues win and follow-up by defeating Wolves, Plymouth Argyle and then Preston, they should have all but accomplished their Championship goal.
“We’ve had four good results now and hopefully we have come into form just at the right time,” said the striker, who made his comeback from injury last weekend to provide Alex McLeish with another attacking option.
“We need to win our home games and then I believe we will be just about there, and it’s something we’re capable of doing.
“But it’s all right saying that.
“The gaffer, Roy Aitken and Andy Watson have hardly been away from the training ground recently. They have been working like Trojans and have held a few meetings with us. They’ve done loads of homework about the teams we are facing and what’s required of us, they’ve spoken to players as a group and individually.
“They’ve stressed that we’ve got to really focus for the final push now and nobody can take it easy and relax. They’ve kept on drumming that in.
“Hopefully we will take it out on the pitch, as the lads have been doing in the last couple of weeks.
