Birmingham City talking point: Carsley tackle slammed

Harborne 1: The tackle was very late and was a bit naughty but not something Lee Carsley does on a weekly basis and was totally out of character.

Maybe I should not say this, only because it upsets the weak hearted and the so called good but IMHO it was one of the most important challenges that Carsley has made all season!

It changed the game, the atmosphere and brought out an unbelievable togetherness and fight in all the players.

I felt Chris Iwelumo was beginning to be a right handful and was Wolves most dangerous player. He was winning all the flick ons and was also starting to bully our defenders.

But when he went off Ridgewell and Jahidi looked a lot more confident and in control with the lightweight pair of Keogh/Vokes and Harwood looked like a pub player.

When ever Birmingham City F.C. teams do anything good or deserve a tap on the back there is always some do gooder waiting to pounce to try and knock them down. For Christ sake, we have just beat the top team in the division with 10 men and done it with a bit to spare. Any real Blues fan that wakes up this morning should not have anything negative to say about BCFC.

When it's bad complain, when it good enjoy!!! It dont happen very often!!!

The crowd were superb and got right behind the team and roared them on.The players made me very proud because they hunted in packs and were determined and committed for the whole 90 mins.

Well done to the manager because he picked the right team with the right tactics they were all up for it and as a supporter, I can ask for no more but exactly the same is needed again at Charlton.

Harry Lauder1: Just been talking to my mate who is a Wolves fan who said that he thought it would be the turning point at the time Carsley was sent off and for the reasons you stated.

It galvinised us and disrupted them immensely.

Our players and management should be very proud of themselves today and the fans were also magnificent last night.
More of the same please.
