Birmingham City to appeal against Maik Taylor red card
“We hope there’s no suspension because we feel it was the wrong decision.”
Taylor faces a one-game ban for denying a goalscoring opportunity if Blues appeal is not successful.
Colin Doyle came on for only his second league appearance of the season to face Paul Gallagher’s penalty.
McLeish said: “Maik has been outstanding all season. It would be a blow to lose him.
“Doylie came in and he was magnificent. He rose to the occasion. I’m sure the big man would have been suprised and rather than taking a panic pill, he’s taken one whereby he’s looked so cool for the whole day and, you know, credit to him.”
