Birmingham City's Franck Queudrue is player of the season
"But obviously if we win the next two games then I think we have got a good chance to get promotion."
Queudrue continued: "It's nice to play when it's like this, with something on the games, an edge.
"That's what we signed for, that's what we play for, to take part in big games that mean something.
"You want to play at the highest level and to get there you have games and times like this."
Last night's double award was the 30-year-old former Lens and Middlesbrough defender's first of its kind in his career.
"Going back to Middlesbrough, I won community player-of-the-year.
"It was because I was involved a lot in what they did off the pitch.
"When I sign for a club I also sign for a town, a city, [embrace] what it means to the fans. So I'm really committed.
"The community, it is up to us to project the good picture from Birmingham City Football Club.
"This award, it means a lot to me. It's massive. The fans are such a big part in the club.
"You know, there are players going through but you don't see a player playing for 25 years at one club - some fans out there, they have been supporting the club for more than 25 years.
"So it's always nice to get such recognition from them."
And as for Sullivan?
"He couldn't come, that happens. I've already had congratulations from his part, through somebody.
"It's not a problem. It's all behind us and as everyone sees, I give everything I have on the pitch. That issue is right behind us."
Midfielder Lee Carsley won the players' player-of-the-season, and got Queudrue's vote.
"Personally, for my position or David Murphy's position, when you are going forward as a full-back it is important to be committed 100 per cent.
"If you have a player like Lee behind you, with his experience and as clever as he is, you know you can go freely and he will fill in for you.
"Someone like him is precious for a team, for a club. We're lucky to have him."
