Birmingham City fans tell us where they were when the Blues got promoted

Birmingham City fans after the second goal.

We asked you to tell us where you were and what you were doing when the Blues got promoted. We have had some great responses and they really do make a great read. Stick with it to the end folks.

Here's a selection of the best ones...

James: I watched the game in the Sports bar at Planet Hollywood on the Vegas strip, in the early hours of morning - after a perfect all-nighter on the tables.

Massive 24 hours before. Ahead on the craps table (admittedly I owe my mate Jay a big hand for some fantastic throwing), doubled-down and split all at the right times to go well-up in blackjack (to Frank, the great 70 year-old dealer at PH, massive thanks), and took my winnings and put it all on a Prem rolling bet - Chelsea to win, Arsenal to win, Man U to win, Man City to win, and West Ham to win.

Took out the readies from the winnings to cover my entire trip - and then put the rest on our Blues to win on Sunday. I sweated for a full 90 minutes - but It really doesn't get any better...lady luck was on my shoulder this w/e. Popped four bottles of bubbles, started dancing and singing and pouring for a lot of bemused Yanks. Now I'll be able to afford to fly in for a few games this coming season.

My Vancouver mates watched too - and I think the unofficial B.C. Blues Club just doubled in size to 10 :)

Heard a few of the players are planning Vegas trips themselves to celebrate. You deserve it boys - now get VIP'ed for Pure at Caesar's and The Foundation Room at Mandalay. Brilliant rooms!

(Just wished I'd also picked the 50-1 Kentucky derby winner). But that'd be pushing it....

Dan Perry: In Dubai, Sunday is the first day of the working week and so as quick as I could get away from the desk, I raced home from work to catch the second half - flicking between the Sheffield United and Birmingham games, missing our second and their first in the process.

At full time I was stood, tears in eyes, beer in hand, singing Keep Right On to the TV with my 2 boys (4 and 3 years old) dressed in their Blues Pyjamas wondering just what on earth their daddy was doing...

Andy Bulman: I was at my mother in law’s on Sunday. Having been at the Preston game the previous week, I couldn’t bear to listen to the Reading game, so I refused to allow anyone to turn on a radio or check online for the score.

At about 3.20 pm I was about to take the plunge and check the score when I noticed the guy opposite hanging out 2 huge Blues flags. I rushed outside and shouted “did we win?” He stuck his thumb up and I just screamed “Yes!” and I punched the air.

I spent the next hour in my car on my mother in law’s drive listening to fans phoning in on the radio. Sorry ma! It was a great lunch!

Bob: In front of the TV jumping and shouting as we watched the match in Arizona Golf Resort, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, drinking coca cola and calling the family regularly in the UK to try to relieve the tension.
