The only reason I think we'll get Vela is with Adebayor/Bendtner/Eduardo/van Persie as the first 4 strikers, I reckon they'll let him out on loan until Xmas, and depending on their injuries, decide about the rest of the season.
Also I think people are way off talking about all the Championship players we might sign - last time we signed players from Spain/France/Italy that were either freebies or rejects (Kapo/De Ridder etc...) and If we'd have stayed up - we were aparently going to sign Bradley and Edmilson !!
Also - Championship players are expensive - I can't see us getting Kilgallon for less than 4million, or Ledley for less than 5million, or Eagles for 4 million - the list goes on and on (Kevin Doyle for 6million).
It seems that Championship clubs have got more money than many European teams so we've more chance of getting squad players from Europe's better teams (Kapo springs to mind). Bougherra is a great shout.
