Boyd. Not keen but he will be in our price bracket, no one else seems to want him, wages will ok and McLeish clearly rates him. Just hope he is right!
Bougherra Keeping with the whole Rangers/Scottish vibe thing. 1 think he would be a decent signing and the rumour mill has it Rangers need the money. That said can see others being interested and if that is the case, we will, as usual miss out!
Balde. Especially if Bougherra does not happen and a strong possibility even if he does. Linked strongly in the past. A bosman if I am not mistaken this summer. With our thread bare central defence I can see this one flying.
Hart We need another goal keeper and for me Taylor at 37 needs replacing this summer. The papers have rumoured we are willing to pay a £1m loan fee and like Balde I can see this one coming off.
Shittu Another possible with two out of Bougherra, Balde and him joining. Less likely if we sign Bougherra as both would require a fee.
Derbyshire. Pacy, young and within our price bracket. Not big Sam's type of player. Already out on loan and the news in the North West is that McLeish is interested.
McGregor. Back to Rangers again I am afraid. Out of favour at Rangers a little bit behaviour wise and if the Hart deal is just paper talk might materialise.
Hemdani. At 31 age against him (McLeish’s comment that we need to get some young players into the side. Music to the ears!) but a free signing probably, can play in midfield or defence and yes you guessed it; he plays for Rangers!
Steven Taylor Less likely because of a transfer fee easily £4m-£5m but if Newcastle go down he would a great signing. Major barrier here is there would be several other clubs interested and he may not fancy another relegation fight but you never know.
Aiden McGeady Another if I am honest is unlikely but I have heard rumours and he is the type of player we could do with given that Bowyer signs adding to DJ and Carsley.
Guyy: I have recently been on a site about rumours throughout the past 3 days and have picked up a bunch of players who we are linked with obviously we wont sign all off them but they are from good sources
