honsestly don't feel that around £10 or so million to spend would be enough to give Eck a chance of staying in them prem, as it's vital we sign at least 8 players for the new season and we wouldn't recoup a lot of money either tansfer wise or wages by getting rid of fringe players such as tiny, jaidi, bent etc.....it's ok for the board to keep on harping on about not doing a Leeds, but they need to guard against doing a Charlton!!! |

Good point Terry! Do the board realise what is now required in way of investment, particularly in the first season. Surely two seasons of big investments will pay for itslef in the long term. It's a gamble of course but the other option is to just face relegation again. our board seem intent on seeing us do everything on a shoestring. |

It worries me that we are going to be in the same position as we were last time and that under investment is going to result in us having a big relegation battle on our hands. It seems that the limit of the directors ambitions is just to survive and not to achieve anything more. The premiership moves on in quality season after season and the board must be prepared to provide the finances to enable us to at least compete with the teams outside the top 6. At the moment I see no sign that they are prepared to do that. |
