Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish still undecided on American defender

ALEX McLeish has yet to drive through a move for Oguchi Onyewu as he continues to weigh up other options as well as gauge opinion on the American centre-half.
The Blues boss watched Onyewu help Standard Liege retain their Belgium title in a two-legged play-off against Anderlecht during the past fortnight.
And he has spoken to – among others – friend and Everton manager David Moyes about ‘Gooch’, who performed well against the Toffees in the UEFA Cup last season.
Onyewu is available on a free transfer and McLeish has already spoken to his representatives.
