Birmingham City boss is not fazed by Carson Yeung takeover talk
Alex McLeish today revealed that the proposed Carson Yeung takeover of Birmingham City didn't concern him.
For the Blues boss said he had more pressing matters - bringing his side up to Premier League scratch.
McLeish urged the board to dig into the coffers and support him in the dealings he said still needed to be done.
"I am not really obliged to talk about that situation [Yeung]," he said. "It's a business matter, we are a plc, so I will leave that to the board.
"But I know that one thing I can comment on and I'm sure of: we still need more players and somehow we have to find the money for that.
"To be honest, we are not equipped for the Premier League as things stand now. We still need three more players, at least.
"To strengthen us I need the help of the board, they need to push the boat out a little bit more.
"It's downright bad luck that we have had some injury problems. That's no-one's fault.
