Birmingham City: Carson Young speculation - your opinions

Carson Yeung

Birmingham City announced yesterday that there had been renewed interest in the club from Carson Young.

Will it happen? Is it another false alarm?

Here's what you thought...

J James: No thanks Carson.

I would prefer the current mob to him and that's saying something.

Here's to another close season of underinvestment, shame as it had all started so well.

Eric Jones: Really worried about this. I trust the current owners and they felt betrayed by him - what is the change?

I also worry that his timing is awful - we went down in part because of his disruption and now he moves in at a terrible time just before the Premiership season starts. Notwithstanding this we do need a billionaire - hope he is one?

Matthew Edwards in San Francisco: I think that the timing of Yeung's possible take-over is incidental. After all it was mooted in May that he may be coming back with an offer. As to how it might affect Blues in the short term, it could be disruptive as I'm sure Eck will feel is position undermined (However, was Sullivan's signing of Benitez 'undermining'?).

Regarding Yeung himself, the jury is out... On one hand he has shown persistance and resolve in pursuing the purchase.

On the other, does he care about the club or simply see us as a marketable quantity in Asia?

We must remember one thing, Sully and the Golds saved Blues and whatever they outcome of the Yeung saga, we have a great deal to thank them for.

Ed Eckersley: The real question is how much money he has behind him, and how much he is willing to invest in the club.

There seems to be too much mystery surrounding his finances and how well his businesses are doing. His timing seems poor with the season just days away!

Oli Marsh: I think Carson Yeung needs to push through with a deal fast and not stall like last time, he unsettled the club to huge effect last time round.

I would love Birmingham City to be taken to the next level and get a cash investment but it's come at bad timing just a few days before a big game and when we are looking to still bring in players for the new season.
