Christian Benitez scores his first goal for Birmingham City
Alex McLeish has insisted that Blues would not rush Christian Benitez and risk him unduly.
Benitez made his first appearance in a Blues shirt at Wast Hills yesterday, scoring in a 4-3 defeat by Peterborough United.
He had been unable to figure after shoulder surgery in May but has now started to step up his fitness regime.
