Birmingham City: McLeish on THAT £5m
Alex McLeish today gave a cautious response to Carson Yeung’s assertion that he was prepared to spend up to £5 million of his own money on new players before the transfer window shuts.
In a Grandtop International media conference, Blues owner-in-waiting said he - and presumably his associates - had already been looking at new recruits.

They were not targets recommended to him by McLeish, nor the current board of directors.
So that’s why McLeish was guarded when he was asked to digest Yeung’s comments.
“I know that we really can’t do anything [transfer wise] until he takes over,” predicted McLeish, who today closed in on long-time target Michel.
