Birmingham City: I am back to my best - Bowyer

LEE Bowyer is glad to have finally shaken off his summer ‘rustiness’ as he edges back to his best ahead of this weekend’s trip to Tottenham.
The midfielder helped to spark Blues’ Carling Cup fightback at Southampton on Tuesday night with a well-worked goal 13 minutes from time.
The ex-England international’s 90 minutes on the south coast came after his first taste of action this season with an hour against Stoke last Saturday.
Having been forced to sit out Blues’ opening two fixtures of the campaign through suspension, the 32-year-old has finally been given the chance to run off the pre-season cobwebs, as shown by his menacing runs from midfield against Southampton.
“It was good to get 90 minutes (at Southampton), I haven’t really played because I had to miss the first two games and the manager was playing the team in pre-season that he needed to get ready for the start of the season, that was fair enough,” said Bowyer.
