Birmingham City: Eck’s awe at Liam’s recovery

ALEX McLeish has revealed his astonishment at Liam Ridgewell’s powers of healing.
Ridgewell broke his leg in the game against Plymouth Argyle in April and it was felt he would not be ready for action until the New Year.
But the centre-half’s progress has been startling and he expects to be resuming training in around a month.
“Due the severity of the challenge and the injury, it was thought 12 months for Ridge,” said the Blues boss.
