No alarm bell for Birmingham City - Queudrue

Franck Queudrue

FRANCK Queudrue isn’t concerned by Blues’ recent failure to pick up vital Premier League points as he’s convinced that their continued performances will eventually reap the rewards.

Blues have come out of three fixtures against some of the Premier League’s top sides – Manchester United, Tottenham and Villa – with their heads firmly held high.

However, despite proving to be more than a match for the trio, the encouraging displays haven’t yielded any points.

Points win prizes or, in Blues’ case, guarantee survival.

The four points from five games played have come from a victory and draw, against Portsmouth and Stoke respectively, and Blues will view this Saturday’s trip to Hull as a golden chance to add to that tally.

Queudrue, however, isn’t panicking as he believes that Alex McLeish’s side will soon get what they deserve.

“We’ve just been unlucky and we need to score a few more goals but I’m not worried because if we keep going like we have then we will establish ourselves in the Premier League,” said the Frenchman, who has been ruled out for four weeks with a torn hamstring sustained against Villa.

“Now we just need to get the points. We need to keep going in the same direction and get the goals.

“Obviously with games at home we want to get at least a point. The performance against Villa was encouraging.

“You know it’s a long season so we need everybody and we’ve got some players due back as well so that is going to be good for the whole team.”
