Takeover talks don't concern Birmingham City players - Stephen Carr

STEPHEN Carr revealed that Blues players have given takeover talk a wide berth.

But the experienced defender, speaking on the eve of the present board’s St Andrew’s farewell, said the out-going regime should be recognised for their contribution to the club – and expressed a wish that Carson Yeung and his group then take Blues on further.

“We don’t really get involved in it,” said Carr.

“We have a squad of players now and whoever owns the club it makes no difference until January comes round, if they are going to spend. So we just get on with trying to win as many points as we can.
