Birmingham City goalkeeper debate rages on
Joe Hart may have just been called up for England but there is plenty of debate on our forum as to whether he is the man for Birmingham's goalie jersey.
Here's what they have been saying:
BumpyFunk: I love Maik and Doyley, but there is no denying some fundamentals:
I play Fantasy Football online. Hart has one of the best scores online from performance. Only Friedel, Sorensen and Jensen are currently better.
I go to St Andrews. I watch him play. I think the amount of shots stopped get missed. We dont half rely on him sometimes. We havent been hammered by anything near 6 yet (fingers crossed - Arsenal next). He has made one noteable mistake so far.
Eric: I was very hopeful about Hart but he has disappointed me so far. He has not controlled the penalty area as much as I would like and he has ley in at least 2 goals that Taylor or Doyle would have saved. Have not seen enough of Doyle and I am surprised noone has come in for him.
360Football: Hart's over-rated! He's a good talker, I'll give him that, and communication is important for a keeper, but I've never yet seen him have a good game. Taylor's had his day unfortunately, so I'd trust Doyle, who's an excellent keeper.
SpionKop: Joe Hart - Maik Taylor.... Hard to call for me. When push comes to shove I would have to go with Hart. He commands that back line like his been doing it for decades at this level. The lack of goals we have conceeded this season has been much down to Hart and how he organises that line. If you watch him compared to Taylor he is a lot quicker getting back up off his feet. Reflex's come with age and for that reason the reflexs are on Hart side. Listen Capello wouldnt have picked Hart for the sake of it, the kid has got it, he gets my vote.
BlueBrummie1: It's Doyle for me, he reminds me of a young David Seaman so I don't know why we are giving another club's keeper experience that said I do think Joe Hart isn't a bad keeper
