GARY McSheffrey today admitted that it was “not looking great” for his Blues career.
The former Coventry City favourite has been the subject of loan inquiries and said that if there was no change to the present state of affairs, he would have to consider a move.

McSheffrey has been a substitute in the Premier League on six occasions and has started just once, at Hull City.
Alex McLeish has tended to opt for James McFadden or Keith Fahey for roles wide on the left.
Last season the 27-year-old came out of the team in September and spent months trying to cure a knee problem.
He was eventually loaned to Nottingham Forest towards the end of the campaign in an attempt to regain fitness but ended up requiring surgery.
McSheffrey, who put in a hearty eye-catching performance for Blues reserves in the 3-2 defeat by Portsmouth on Monday, said he still held out hope that he could figure for Blues.
“You’re always hopeful, but it’s not looking great because I’m not getting on really when I’ve felt I could maybe make a difference,” he told the Birmingham Mail.
“That’s not been the case. I have just got to keep plugging away, keep my chin up and keep working hard.
